The photo of the pineapple crochet tablecloth at right was made by Miems, the designer of the project. This tablecloth has become my winter project - since we aren't doing craft shows this winter, hopefully the tablecloth will be finished by spring. I look forward to serving afternoon tea to my friends on my lovely new cloth while gazing out at my English garden - a work still in progress.

Most of the leaves have lost their brilliance and are turning brown now, but the ridge to the west is still quite beautiful. A sight to be grateful for!

Good Morning!

This is my first post to my blog. I have tried to upload pictures since this spring and have just now figured out that if pop up blockers are on that pictures won't load. OK, so I'm a little slow!

The photo above is of our beloved Poppett at 7 years old. Her companion is Jeremiah, her pet frog. Since we don't know the exact date that Poppett was born, we celebrate her birthday on June 23 - our anniversary.

I'm sitting at the window sipping hot cider this morning instead of my usual tea. We've had a few chilly days and the beautiful leaves demand the drinking of cider and the munching of caramel apples.

This is our 6th year in the new house and still no spooks for Hallowe'en, though we did have about 50 'Trunk or Treaters' at church Sunday night.
